An installation-reflection created for the Eco-Fest on the theme of air in Tashkent. The work consists of three windows, each portraying the state of the environment in familiar everyday situations.
"Construction Site" reflects what city residents breathe in when living close to construction sites, which are currently abundant in Tashkent. It’s about the dust and building sand that lingers in the air, covering neighborhood after neighborhood and settling on our windows.
"Thermal Power Plant" is a landscape inspired by a winter walk in the Salar area, where the sky was shrouded in thick pink smoke, and nothing was visible on the horizon except for the faint outlines of power plant chimneys.
But there comes a moment when, suddenly, the air becomes very clear, and the sky turns blue.
"Weekend" highlights the fact that all air problems are human-made and solvable, something that weekends consistently remind us of.
Materials: used window frames, second-hand pillowcases, second-hand curtains, acrylic paints, road dust, petroleum products.
